Summer 2010

It's October and life is in full swing as usual! We had a super summer wrap up filled with camp, a trip out west, and our sojourn to Paris.

Conner had a great time at SB2W for the second year. What a difference from last year...no tears! He's really loving it there, as I suspected he would, and we're all set for next year. Grady is chomping at the bit to attend as well but, alas, he has one more year until we will be sans boys for 2 weeks.

I got the opportunity to head out to San Fran to spend some time with Bridget and her family for a few days before the end of the summer. We had a great time laying low and taking in the San Franciscan weather, food, and sights. Wine country was outstanding and I loved hanging with Miss Pickles...aka Johanna...and Bridget and Erik! Our little band of friends is scattered throughout this country and I treasure the chance to experience their lives in their respective towns.

Paris was phenomenal. Beautiful city, breathtaking sights, and some much needed time with my husband. We are so thankful for the experience.

Which brings us to the present day. School is going great as the boys love their teachers, both boys are playing soccer this fall, Conner is doing an art class through the local artists organization, Grady is involved in a science enrichment class after school, Conner is a Webelos, Grady is a Tiger Scout, and both of the boys are in Kidz Klub at our church on Wednesday nights! Phew. I'm tired having just typed all of that. I think (hope) that's everything. Apparently I'm along for the ride, but I love it.
