So it's our first Saturday in the new house...

and Conner is down in the playroom with a gaggle of kids from the neighborhood!! In our old home, there never once was a knock at the door with a request of, "Can Conner come out to play?" That was my life growing up. Running crazy on Fountain and Hill streets with the Henning, Norris, Rogers, and whatever other kids may have been around that day. It didn't matter...if you were home then you were outside. (Unless you were Sara or I...then you were inside spying on certain someones learning how to ride a bike!!) Well, I can tell you that the legacy will continue in New Hampshire. We weren't home 10 minutes from the gym this afternoon when the doorbell rang with just such a request. Conner was too cute...he wasn't quite sure what to do as he just stood on the porch for a few minutes. Not to worry, though, that was at 12:45. It is now 4:10 and he's been playing outside, over at two different houses to play, and now they are all here. Also, two of our neighbors sent dinner over this week...I'm loving our new neighborhood.

All's well here. Boxes are slowly dwindling down and I'm very close to being ready to hang some things on the wall. I've become quite fond of the dump...as has Grady. We've made a trip to the dump every day since we've been here - 5 to be exact - with a full car load every time. I cannot believe how much we have discarded this past week.

Anyway, thank you to everyone who were praying for us and to those who were our helping hands. Things on Monday went VERY smoothly as has the rest of the week. I'm taking it easy today, cleaning and unpacking a little slower, as Shawn is in the Bahamas for a conference. My hope is to have all of the boxes gone when he gets back. Take care.

good memories. I loved that about Hill Street! Good to know that it is still possible. We were pretty mean to a certain someone - well, maybe a couple certain someones.

Good luck in the new house!
