Vegas 2010

This is where the Colorado River meets Lake Meade - right where the brown water meets the blue. Pretty crazy, huh? The Colorado is very brown because of the sediment in the water but almost immediately clears, thus the line.
Flying over the Hoover Dam.

Front seats in the helicopter on the way out. Awesome!!

An hommage to my current favorite flick.

A quick pic at Tony and Tina's wedding. Very fun!

Shawn and I had a great time relaxing and seeing some super shows in Las Vegas this past weekend. We saw Cirque's Ka on Saturday night, went to Tony and Tina's Wedding on Sunday, and took a helicopter to the Grand Canyon on Monday. The weather was perfect - high 70s and sunny every day - so I came home with a little color as well. However, I don't think I'll be doing a red eye again anytime soon. That was a rough flight to recover from.

I'm A Bad Blogger

That's me...pulling a Waldo, in the back. Our annual girl's trip was a couple of weeks ago in Sewickley. We had a great time!

Conner has begun taking guitar lessons and is loving it.

Another very snowy day in Bucks county!

Pinewood Derby 2010.

I found Grady asleep like this one night. It's hard to see, but he had his iPod on as well.

I don't know who those little girls are, but Grady is beside this large balloon at the MoMa advertising the Tim Burton exhibit. The boys LOVED it - totally worth the wet trip to NYC - so much so, that we returned the next day to go through a second time. It's open until April 26 so if you're in the city then get over there.

Times Square 2010

New Year's Eve in the Tobey's hot tub!

Grady turned 6 on March 4. I had all the boys from his class to the house for games, cupcake decorating, pizza, and a pinata. It was a lot of fun and a ton of work, but totally worth it. The birthday boy had a great day!

Conner turned 9 on January 10 and, as you can see, scored some new wheels! The weather is finally nice enough to get out there and enjoy them!

Shawn's pappy turned 90 in February, so we put together a surprise party. He had a very nice time - and the kids serenaded everyone with "Birthday" by the Beatles...courtesy of Wii Rock Band.

Here's one of our many days in the snow...so.much.snow.

Christmas morning note from Elf Buddy.

I will freely admit this...I've been a slacker. Life has been a bit hectic and is not going to slow down for a while as Shawn and I have quite a bit of travel lined up for the next month. We are heading to Las Vegas next weekend for what is sure to be a great time. We scheduled a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon as well as a couple of shows - very excited to see the sights, too. I've never been to Vegas so it should be a lot of fun. April finds us in Paris and Rome and I cannot begin to describe how very anxious I am for that trip. Neither one of us has been to Europe. I can't believe I am finally, after all of these years, getting the opportunity to see in person what I spent 4 years of my life looking at through slides and videos in college. It really is an amazing opportunity and I am so thankful that Shawn and I get to go together.
The boys are doing great. They are making really good friends here and getting involved in a lot. Basketball ended a few weeks ago and Baseball and Soccer on on the horizon. I try to limit their involvement in order to give them time to be kids and have fun, but with 2 in 2 different sports this spring it's going to be a little more difficult. I'm already prepping myself to stay calm and take it one practice/game at a time!
I hope, if you are one of my frustrated readers, that this is adequate. I'd really like to get better about keeping this current and I will most certainly have lots of pictures to post within the next month.
